Ideal for couples looking for a lovely relaxing holiday. Excellent location, ideal for rambling walks, close to Berwick and Alnwick which are very historic and interesting. Lots of pubs and lovely places to eat.

We fell in love with Wooler and Riverside Country Park three years ago when we got a rescue greyhound and started holidaying at home! Excellent place with extremely friendly locals, home cooked food and beautiful countryside. The whole park is beautifully kept and the caravans are well equipped and home from home would highly recommend to anybody!

Very helpful lady on reception. Great base for touring. Recommend the walk to Linhope Spout and coastal walk from Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle. Low Newton by the Sea was a lovely beach to explore.

We used the site as a base for fishing and walking in this very attractive area. The off-peak, mid-week break is both economical and convenient for this. We went with another couple and at the very reasonable cost allowed us to each have a unit giving us plenty of space and independence. The nearby Riverside bar/restaurant was also good value for money and well-run. We have been before and will come again.

We were surprised by the size and quality of the caravan plus the central heating, it was also a bonus being able to take the dog. The site location was excellent being so close to Wooler and surrounding places of interest. There was also a nice touch with the sales vans (ice cream etc.) coming round the site in the evening.
Unfortunately we did not have enough time to cover all the things we wanted to do and look forward to returning some time soon. Best regards to all, Jean & Ian McKeown.

We stayed in a Riverside Superior and the caravan was excellent. It was immaculate and exceeded our expectations - everything you needed was there including a full size fridge/freezer, a 4 hob gas cooker, en-suite in the main bedroom and plenty of storage space. The park was always clean and tidy and the staff were extremely helpful. The swimming pool was clean and the restaurant served good food at pub prices. We will definitely be returning and have recommended it to my friends.

A good value holiday in a peaceful location if you want to relax and also plenty to do if you want to be active. Caravan was brilliant, the best we have stayed in and although we do have any children I would be more than happy to take them to this site as it felt safe and there was plenty to do. I would definitely recommend this holiday to friends and family. I would recommend on the basis that the accommodation was excellent. The amenities were very good as was the evening Bingo and entertainment. There are some lovely places to eat in and around Wooler. It was a relaxing week.

We had a fabulous time, we have stayed in many caravan parks this year and this has to be the best. Our caravan was immaculate and had lovely decor. Our caravan was superb and spotless in a lovely quiet spot. We enjoyed the cabaret in the club house, "Fiddlin Fantastic", they were great family entertainment and had the whole room rocking! This short break was well worth the effort of packing for three nights and we will definitely be returning - hopefully for longer next time. Thank you to all your site staff at Riverside, Wooler, who helped to make this a great break.

This is a lovely site, well situated to visit many interesting places in Northumberland. It is only a short walk into Wooler which is useful for shopping, eating out and quite a few pubs.

Having just returned from a 3 night break at Riverside Country Park I can't wait to return! We stayed in a superior caravan and it was definitely worth every penny - it was the best caravan I have ever stayed in, and the double glazing and central heating made it a real home from home. We visited Bamburgh and Ford and Etal which has a lovely thatched pub, we travelled between the two villages by means of the Heatherslaw narrow gage railway where there were as many grown ups as children enjoying the ride! The entertainment on Saturday night was great, a duo called "Fiddlin Fantastic" and they definitely were - the whole club house was rocking. Our last day we spent in the Cheviot Hills with lots of walkers as well as families with picnics enjoying the experience.

I would recommend Riverside Holiday Park as the accommodation and the park were kept spotlessly clean and were of a very high standard. The caravan was spacious and had every facility we could wish for, including a balcony to sit out on.

A fabulous site, 5 minutes walking distance from the village. The swimming pool is ideal for younger children, and staff are very friendly. Large areas set aside for recreation and dog walking. We would recommend visits to Goswick beach, Bamburgh Castle and Seahouses all within 10 miles. Book early to avoid disappointment.

It was the first time we had visited a holiday site, the caravan was very clean and spacious with easy on site parking. The on site fishing was good, perhaps a few more fish, and the local village was within walking distance for shops and friendly enough pubs.

I would recommend this holiday to people who like a quieter holiday and who like the countryside. It is a beautiful part of the country and the park is in a good location for people who like exploring the countryside and historic castles. There was virtually no traffic on the roads everywhere we went which make our holiday so much more enjoyable not being stuck in traffic everywhere. Wooler is a nice little town that has pubs, cafes and enough shops to cater for most peoples needs, and the park is in a good location to use as a base to explore the countryside and coastal towns.

The caravan was in an excellent condition and very clean. The furnishings and fittings were very good and the staff at the park were very friendly and helpful. The location was also central to the major tourist sites in the area. The park also had good facilities for young children to play.

Relaxing and quiet. Handy for visiting Holy island, Alnwick castle and gardens, Bamburgh, Berwick on Tweed and lots of lovely places. Great for cycling as the roads are so quiet. All in all a perfect place for a super holiday in Northumberland. Just loved everything about it. 10 out of 10
